Markerless Motion Capture allows the movement of the human body to be tracked and transferred to 3D character mesh without the restriction of a body suit. This means more participation. This workshop will explain and demonstrate the pipeline of 3D modeling, rigging, skinning, and applying motion captured data to 3D character models. The student will need intermediate to advance skills with 3D software packages like Maya or 3D studio and MotionBuilder. At the end of this workshop the student will have a motion captured animation file (.bvh) ready to drive a rigged and skinned 3D model for further tweaking for their portfolio. The workshop is held in a spacious community center located at the intersection of the financial district, Chinatown, and North Beach. Accessible by MUNI and BART.

This is a two day workshop typically held on Saturdays, if schedule changes, registered students will be contacted.

Discount will automatically be applied if applicable.

Hey Manguy. Just stopped by to let you know I updated my Batman piece taking your suggestions into account. Thanks for your help!
Cool. I just posted some stuff I'm working on, modeled these in zbrush. I haven't done any texture mapping yet, so these are the default material.
